Alkali free powder shotcrete accelerating admixture

Sika® Sigunit®-D430 AF-id is an alkali free accelerator in powder form for shotcrete (in dry spray process)

Sika® Sigunit®-D430 AF-id has the following characteristics and advantages :

Usage

Sika® Sigunit®-D430 AF-id is suitable for dry spraying processes and it is used for :
  • Support at the face whilst advancing tunnels and mines
  • Rock- and slope stabilization
  • Concrete repair works

DISPENSING

The required quantity of Sika® Sigunit®-D430 AF-id is added to the dry sand/cement mixture before being fed into the shotcrete machine.
Sika® Sigunit®-D430 AF-id should not be premixed if dry mix contains free moisture due to premature and uncontrolled cement hydration taking place, possibly resulting in blockage of dry mix conveying pump and pipes.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

The correct dosage must be determined by preliminary testing. For layer thickness of up to 15 cm in one pass, dosage is between 5 % and 8 % by weight of binder.

Optimized mixing with the concrete mix is also essential.

The following Sika® products are generally used for the basic shotcrete mix : SikaFume®.
