Sika® Antisol® E-125

Concrete Curing Compounds

A liquid curing compound for preventing water loss in concrete.
Complies with A.S.T.M. C 309-94 type I, class A.

Usage

Sika® Antisol® E-125 is use in large areas of exposed concrete, and suitable for trafficable surfaces such as :
  • Highways
  • Runways and taxiways
  • Aprons and hard standings
  • Roof decks
  • Retaining walls
  • Pre-stressed beams and piers, etc

Shelf life

9 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged unopened, original container.

Storage conditions

Store in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
Technical Information

Specific advice

Remaining Antisol films have to be removed prior to application of any screed or coating. After application the treated are must be protected from rain for at least 2 – 3 hours.

  • To prevent clogging, regular cleaning of jet sprays during application is recommended
  • Sika® Antisol® E-125 can be sprayed using most common spraying equipment
  • Sika® Antisol® E-125 should NOT be overcoated with other coating or treatments. If material is to be applied over the top of surface treated with Sika® Antisol® E-125, sand blasting or solvent treatment is recommended as surface preparation.
  • Early application of Sika® Antisol® E-125 will help prevent plastic shrinkage cracks from occurring by reducing the amount of water evaporating. Concrete curing compounds, however, will not counter the effects of cracking that may occur as a result of long term drying shrinkage. Standard concrete practice must be applied when positioning construction joints and shrinkage control joints.

APPLICATION

Stir well before use !
The Sika® Antisol® E-125 has been designed for spray application to the newly laid concrete. A thin film of Sika® Antisol® E-125 is applied to the whole surface using a hand or spray gun.
