SikaFume®-15 NT Liquid

NANOSILICA IN AQUEOUS SUSPENSION

SikaFume®-15 NT Liquid Is a liquid additive for concrete based on an amorphous silica dioxide pure nano-particles emulsion.
SikaFume®-15 NT Liquid allows controlling concrete bleeding and segregation, improving watertightness, improving the strength, durability and improving concrete surface.
Free of chloride and any other harmful substance for the concrete.

Using SikaFume®-15 NT Liquid with Viscocrete superplastizicer range, the concrete get the following properties:
  • Improved cohesiveness and stability of green concrete
  • Durability greatly increased
  • Water permeability of concrete greatly reduced
  • Very high early and ultimate strengths
  • Permeability to gases greatly decreased
  • Greatly improved resistance to carbonation
  • Improve sulfate resistance
  • Infiltration of chloride greatly reduced

Shelf life

12 months if stored according to recommended conditions.

Storage conditions

Storage in a dry condition, protected against freeze, and stored out of direct sunlight or bright light in temperature between +10 °C and +35 °C in a shaded place.

Density

~1.25 kg/L (at +20 °C)

Concreting guidance

The standard rules of good concreting practice, concerning production and placing are to be allowed.

Laboratory trials shall be carried out before concreting on site, especially when using a new mix design or producing new concrete components.

Fresh concrete must be cured properly, and curing applied as early as possible.

Application

DISPENSING

Dosage usually between 2 % and 6 %. In order to get the best results, use it with Viscocrete. Different dosages can be used but have to be tested. Pre trials with site materials are recommended to establish optimum dosage rate.

Put it in the mixer at the same time with water. It is recommended to clean pumps and dispensers after use.

 

Recommended dosage

2 – 6 % by the weight of cement.
