SikaFix®-123 AquaStop

High Strength Polyurethane Injection System

SikaFix®-123 AquaStop is a solvent free, 2-component, high strength polyurethane injection system. It is rapid setting designed as a water stop and also for ground and strata consolidation. The system contains fire retardants and is self-extinguishing.

  • A fast reacting polymer with strength and rigidity
  • Will form a rigid foam in the presence of water
  • Without water, the polymer cures to a tough, resilient solid
  • It is a two component system, with both components mixed in equal volume proportions (1:1 by volume) using a two-component injection pump coupled with a static in-line mixer

Usage

  • High water volume control
  • Filling and stabilizing cavities in fractured rock eg roadways, shafts etc
  • Consolidating other substrates such as sand and gravel
  • Concrete structure repair

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged unopened, original sealed packaging

Storage conditions

Stored at temperatures between 5 °C and 35 °C in unopened original containers protected from direct sunlight and frost.
Beware of frost sensitivity for Part A.

Curing Time

Reaction time :

~30 seconds.

Set time :~40 seconds, without contact of water, and up to 10 min when in contact with water (depending on amount of water)
Application steps

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

  • For short breaks, pump only Part A through the mixer.
  • For long breaks (eg storage, or after works complete) pump clean water through Part A pump / injection lines and pump clean engine oil through Part B pump / injection lines.
