lron Aggregate Concrete Surface Hardener

Sikafloor® MetalTop-200 is a premixed,ready to use powder,designed for application as a dry shake over a freshly floated concrete floor or floor screed to obtain a highly abrasion resistant iron armoured monolithic topping. The product contains specially processed iron aggregate admixtures that can be finished to a wide range of surface textures-from smooth to non-slip.

Overview

Usage

Sikafloor® MetalTop-200 is recommended for treating floor areas subject to heavy traffic and high abrasion where frequent maintenance is not economically feasible and where surface dusting could be a problem. Applications include
  • Floors of industrial and commercial buildings subject to heavy duty traffic by fork lifts subject to heavy duty traffic by fork lifts,solid wheeled vehicles,etc.
  • Industrial floors subject to impact such as fabrication shops and mechanical engineering workshops.
  • Floors of precision machining areas such as grinding, lapping and other surface finishing operations.
  • Parking areas and loading platforms.
  • Sikafloor® MetalTop-200 is not recommended for areas exposed to chemicals that attack cement.

Storage conditions

Stored in tightly sealed original packaging in a dry and enclosed place, between 5°C-30°C.

Levelling of surface by means of power trowel or laser screed.
Final smoothing with power trowel.

Application

Consumption

The rate of application will depend on the service conditions to which the floor will be exposed.The recommended rates of application are as below Heavy duty:5-12kg/m2.

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

Concrete application

Concrete used for single-storey monolithic floors should achieve a compressive strength of 30MPa in 28 days, a slump of approximately 80mm, and a gas content of less than 3%. Concrete should not contain calcium chloride

APPLICATION

Sikafloor® MetalTop-200 can be spread on new concrete.

CURING TREATMENT

Start curing immediately after final finishing using appropriate curing method.

CLEANING

Clean the tools and equipment with water before the paste sticking to them hardens.
