Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor
EPOXY SELF SMOOTHING DECORATIVE SCREED
Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor System is a self-smoothing epoxy based 3 mm thick screed. It is composed of Sikafloor®-263 SL HC resin high performances solvent free epoxy resin mixed with selected quartz sand and coloured special Sikafloor® Décor Granules giving an endless combination of decorative finishes.

Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor system is available in 5 Standard Colours: light grey 7035, grey 7032, belge 1001, blue 5012, and green 6011. For colour inquires and more information, please consult our Technical Sales Engineer for further details. Under direct UV exposure (sun, lamp, skylight, etc.) there may be some discolouration and colour deviation, this has no influence on the function and performance of the coating.

Levelling (scratch coat) is optional, depending on substrate conditions, but it is necessary to have a good floor flatness to achieve best Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor Systems aesthetic.
Use of Sikafloor® matt sealer product range, clear matt sealer is recommended when improved UV stability and scratch resistance are required. (please consult product data sheet).
These figures are theoretical and do not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level and wastage etc.
MIXING
- Prior to mixing, stir part A mechanically using low speed (100 – 200 rpm) for 30 seconds.
- Before adding part B into part A, please be aware that there is a component of Sika® Extender T inside the part C and have been taken out from packaging before pouring.
- Add Sika® Extender T (included on part C) into pre-mixed A while mix until homogeneous (~1 – 1.5 minutes), please ensure there are no lumps.
- Add slowly part B into mixed part A and Sika® Extender T, mix continuously for 1 minutes until uniform mix has been achieved.
- When parts A (+Sika® Extender T) and B have been mixed, Add part C and D and carry out additional mixing for 2 minutes until a uniform consistency has been achieved. Please ensure decorative filler has been uniform in distribution.
- To ensure thorough mixing pour materials into another container and mix again to achieve a consistent mix.
- For mixing step 2 until 5, use hand mixer with low to medium speed (300-400 rpm) to mix the part A with part B, part C, and D.
- Over mixing must be avoided to minimize air entrainment.
MIXING TOOLS
Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor must be mechanically mixed using an electric power stirrer (100 – 200 rpm) and (300 - 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment.
APPLICATION
Prior to application, confirm substrate moisture content, r.h. and dew point.
If > 4% pbw moisture content, Sikafloor® EpoCem® may be applied as a T.M.B. (temporary moisture barrier) system.
Levelling:
Rough surfaces need to be levelled first. Therefore use e.g. Sikafloor®-161 HC levelling mortar (see PDS).
Self-smoothing wearing course:
Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor mixture is poured, spread evenly by means of a large surface scraper (preferably with pins rather than teeth). The scrapper is then turned down for gently smoothing the spread material.
Roll immediately in two directions with a spiked roller to ensure even thickness and to remove entrapped air
Matt Sealer Coat (if needed):
For areas to be particularly exposed to traffic, light grinding of Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor prior application of Sikafloor® matt sealer product range can be recommended. On a clean, dustfree surface, Sikafloor® matt sealer product range shall then be uniformly spread and apply using short pile nylon roller. Please consult product data sheet for mixing and application details.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use.
Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.
CLEANING
To maintain the appearance of the floor after application, Sikafloor®-263 SL Décor System must have all spillages removed immediately and must be regularly cleaned using rotary brush, mechanical scrubbers, scrubber dryer, high pressure washer, wash and vacuum techniques etc. using suitable detergents and waxes.
