SikaTop®-107 Seal ID

SikaTop®-107 Seal ID is a two component, pre-packed polymer modified cementitious waterproofing slurry mortar comprising of a liquid polymer and cement with selected grades of sand and several admixtures.
It has excellent adhesion and high performance.

Usage

For external and internal non-exposed waterproofing, on concrete and mortar in:
  • Toilet
  • Bathroom
  • Wet Room e.g kitchen, laundry area
  • Small Water tank, etc

Pot Life

~60 minutes (at +30 °C).

Pot life is shorter at higher temperatures. 

Consumption

1.0 - 1.5 kg set/m2/coat (using brush, depending on substrate surface and type of application).
2 coats always required.

MIXING

  • Pour 90% of component A (liquid) into mixing vessel.
  • Add all component B (powder) and mix until you have slurry of uniform consistency. Add rest of component A and mix again until you have uniform, lump-free mixture.
  • A mechanical slow speed mixer is recommended. Mixing time 2-3 minutes. 
  • If SikaTop®-107 Seal ID is to be applied by trowel, use only 80% of component A (liquid).

APPLICATION

By brush:

On vertical surface use suitable brush with synthetic bristles. 
On horizontal surface use rubber slide or push-broom.

  • Apply SikaTop®-107 Seal ID into prepared substrate with consumption 1 - 1.5 kg/m2 per coat. Always apply a minimum of 2 coats.
  • The first coat has to be applied on the damp substrate (pre-wetted), with consumption 1 - 1.5 kg/m2 per coat.
  • After the 1st coat dry (2-6 hours), apply the 2nd coat with a crosswise direction.
  • Apply min. 2 coats. Maximum waiting time between first and second coats is 48 hours.
  • Use Sika reinforcement membrane when necessary at corner and detailing area.

    

By trowel:

  • Use flat trowel to distribute SikaTop®-107 Seal ID into prepared substrate with consumption 1 - 1.5 kg/m2 per coat. Always apply a minimum of 2 coats.
  • The first coat has to be applied on the damp substrate (pre-wetted).
  • The second coat will be applied after the first coat started to set and can support the following coat, usually after 2-6 hours depending on climate.
  • Finish off by brushing with dry sponge when setting of second coat has started.
  • Maximum waiting time between first and second coats is 48 hours.
  • Use Sika reinforcement membrane when necessary at corner and detailing area.

       

IMPORTANT NOTES :
Must use component A (liquid) and B (powder) of SikaTop®-107 Seal ID in 1 set, CANNOT be replaced one of them with other material or added with other ingredients (water, cement or sand).
Protect the applied product with screed, tile, or granit.

CURING TREATMENT

Protect the freshly applied product against direct sunlight and strong winds.  
Protect the freshly applied product from rain and water splashes until fully hardened. (± 6 hours).

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.
Hardened and/or cured material can only be mechanically removed.
