The Balang Island Bridge project in East Kalimantan is part of the government's major efforts to strengthen infrastructure in the Eastern Indonesia region, especially in supporting the development of the Indonesian National Capital City (IKN). This bridge connects Balikpapan City with North Penajam Paser Regency, passing through Balikpapan Bay.

With a length of 1,750 meters, the Balang Island Bridge was designed using
modern technology capable of dealing with local natural challenges, such as swamp conditions and strong winds.

The first Cable Stay Bridge connects from Balikpapan to Penajam
Paser Utara, with a total length of 1,750 meters.
