Bituminous Sealing Tape

Sika® MultiSeal is a self-adhesive, rubber modified bituminous sealing tape laminated with an aluminium foil on the upper side.

Usage

Sika® MultiSeal is designed for sealing and repairing applications against water ingress on roofs and any other building element.

Shelf life

Sika® MultiSeal has a shelf life of 72 months from the date of production, if it is stored properly in undamaged, original, sealed packaging, and if the storage conditions are met.

Storage conditions

Sika® MultiSeal shall be stored in dry conditions, protected from direct sunlight and at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C.

At temperatures below +10 °C the tape and the substrate must be warmed with a hot air fan before and during the application.
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean, dry, sound and homogeneous, free from oils, grease, dust and loose or friable particles.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment immediately after use with Sika® Remover-208. Once cured, residual material can only be removed mechanically.
